Dominant of the Phoenix ᛞᛟᛗᛁᚾᚨᚾᛏ᛫ᛟᚠ᛫ᚦᛖ᛫ᛈᚻᛟᛖᚾᛁᚲᛊ

Circled in the strife of an empyreal catastrophe
Whorls of ire fan infernal flames on high!
Fire in the night
A scarlet beacon in the sky
Look up to the heavens
The firmament reddens
Throw open your wings and fly!— Excerpt from traditional Phoenixian hymn ♫
Within you burn the revitalising flames of the Phoenix, Eikon of Life.
Firebird Trance
When you select this eikon, you gain the following benefits.
- Flames of Rebirth.
- Your eikon’s associated damage type is Fire.
- Scarlet Beacon.
- When you cast Produce Flame, add your Charisma modifier to the damage it deals on a hit.
- Tongue of Flame.
- You can speak, read, and write Ignan.
While in an Eikonic Trance, you gain the following benefits:
- Rising Flames.
- When you enter your trance, and as a bonus action on your subsequent turns, you can fling a dollop of flame at a creature you can see within 60 feet. Make a ranged spell attack against the target; on a hit, it takes fire damage equal to 1d6 + your Charisma modifier.
- Rekindle.
- When you cast Spare the Dying, its range is 30 feet, and when you cast it on a creature with zero hit points, it regains one hit point. Once you use this benefit, you can’t use it again until your next eikonic trance.
The Favour of Fire
You learn the cantrips Produce Flame and Spare the Dying. They are dominant spells for you, and Charisma is your spellcasting ability for them. Additionally, you gain eikon spells at the levels listed below.
| Dominant Level | Eikon Spells |
|---|---|
| 2nd | Cure Wounds |
| 5th | Lesser Restoration, Prayer of Healing |
| 9th | Aura of Vitality, Revivify |
| 13th | Death Ward |
| 17th | Mass Cure Wounds, Raise Dead |
The Breath of Fire
Beginning at 10th level, while you are in an Eikonic Trance, you gain the following additional effects, as your body takes on more of the Phoenix’s flaming features.
- Phoenix Down.
- The burning wings of the Phoenix grow from your back. Your type changes to Elemental, and you gain a flying speed equal to your current speed.
- Eikonic Size.
- If you are smaller than Large, you become Large, along with anything you are wearing. If there isn’t enough room for you to become Large, your size doesn’t change.
- Everlasting Flight.
- Whenever a non-hostile creature starts its turn within 15 feet of you, if they have at least 1 hit point, they regain hit points equal to your Charisma bonus. This healing cannot increase their hit points above one-half of their maximum hit points.
- Fountain of Fire.
- The damage of your Rising Flames feature increases to 1d8 + your Charisma modifier.
Firebird’s Resilience
At 15th level, the Flame of Rebirth’s faith grants you further durability. You gain immunity to fire damage.
Revelation
From 18th level, as an action while in an Eikonic Trance, you can call forth the flames of rebirth to devastate your enemies and revitalise your allies. Sacred flames fill a 60-foot-radius, 120-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within 300 foot that you can see. Each creature within the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 6d6 fire damage. On a success, they take half of that damage instead. You can choose for any number of creatures within the area you can see to not take any damage.
Additionally, you can restore up to 100 hit points, divided as you choose between any number of creatures within the effect’s area. Each creature healed for at least 20 hit points also receives the effects of a Lesser Restoration spell. If a creature receives all 100 hit points of healing in this way, they instead receive the effects of a Greater Restoration spell.
Firebird Ascension
Once you attain 20th level, your Eikonic Trance transforms you into a true manifestation of the Flame of Rebirth. You gain the following additional benefits while in an Eikonic Trance.
- Wings of Fire.
- Your flying speed becomes 60 feet if it is lower.
- True Size.
- Your size can now increase to Huge instead of Large.
- Incandescent Oath.
- Whenever you would normally roll one or more dice to restore hit points with a spell, you instead use the highest number possible for each die. For example, instead of restoring 2d6 hit points to a creature, you restore 12.
- Brand of Purgatory.
- The damage of your Rising Flames feature increases to 1d10 + your Charisma modifier.
- Arise.
- You can cast the spell Raise Dead as an action without providing a material component (a spell slot is still required). A creature resurrected this way comes back with full hit points. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish 2d4+1 long rests.
