Dominant of Garuda

Away her heart
She swathed in gale
Her breath a storm
To stir the heavens

The winds of Garuda, Eikon of Wind, caress your skin and fill your breath.

Windwarden’s Trance

When you select this eikon, you gain the following benefits.

Slipstream.
Your eikon’s associated damage type is Thunder.
Tongue of Wind.
You can speak, read, and write Auran.
Windborne.
Your speed increases by 5 feet. This bonus increases to 10 feet at 10th level.

While in an eikonic trance, you gain the following additional benefits:

Gouge.
You can call Garuda’s talons to slice your foes. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a weapon if it’s empty. It deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action. The claws use your Dexterity modifier for attack and damage rolls. (The claws cannot perform sneak attacks. They count as weapons worth 1 gp for the purpose of spell components.)
Rook’s Gambit.
When an enemy within your reach makes a melee attack against you and misses, you can use a reaction to perform a counter-attack. If you do, make a weapon attack against the creature. Once you’ve hit a creature with the counter-attack, you can’t use this feature again until your next eikonic trance.
Graceful Landing.
Garuda’s tempestuous winds slow your descent. As a reaction, you may negate all falling damage you take from a fall.
Wind Slash.
When you cast Deadly Embrace, add your Charisma modifier to the damage it deals on a hit.

The Favour of Wind

You learn the cantrips Gust and Deadly Embrace. They are dominant spells for you, and Charisma is your spellcasting ability for them. Additionally, you gain Eikon spells at the dominant levels listed.

Dominant Level Eikon Spells
2nd Zephyr Strike
5th Summon Garuda-Egi
9th Haste
13th Freedom of Movement

The Breath of Wind

Beginning at 10th level, while you are in an eikonic trance, you gain the following additional effects, while your flesh takes on more of Garuda’s avian features.

Aeolian Flesh.
Your type changes to Elemental. Your body is covered in Garuda’s greenish-white feather plates, and wings sprout from your back.
The Heavens Stir.
Your wings grant you a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
Eikonic Size.
If you are smaller then Large, you become Large, along with anything you are wearing. If there isn’t enough room for you to become Large, your size doesn’t change.
Further Reach.
Your reach increases by 5 feet.
Sharpened Claws.
The damage dealt by the claws granted by the Gouge feature increases to 1d8.
Gambit Mastery.
When you perform a Rook’s Gambit, you deal an additional 2d8 thunder damage on a successful counter-attack.

The Will of Wind

At 15th level, the Vortex Queen’s grace grants you further durability. You gain immunity to thunder damage.

Call of the Crosswinds

From 18th level, as an action while in an eikonic trance, you can summon the fury of the heavens to ravage the land. A churning cloud forms above a point you can see within 300 feet, and tempestuous winds slam down, filling a 60-foot-radius, 120-foot-high cylinder with a raging storm. Each creature within the area is deafened until the end of your next turn, and must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 12d6 thunder damage on a failed save, or half that damage on a successful one.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Windwarden’s Ascension

Once you attain 20th level, your eikonic trance transforms you inte a true manifestation of the Messenger of Winds. You gain the following additional benefits while in an eikonic trance:

Gouge Mastery.
You can make a second additional claw attacks whenever you use your Gouge feature.
Aeolian Agility.
You have advantage on Dexterity saving throws.
Warding Wind.
The wind around you reflexively deflects that which would harm you: ranged attacks against you are made with disadvantage.
The Heavens Swell.
Your flying speed granted by The Heavens Stir increases to 75 feet, it it was lower. (Windborne’s bonus is already included.)
